Talking Leaves

Submitting Content

All Columbus Airpark students, as well as alumni graduating within the last year, are invited to submit previously unpublished original works of art, prose, and poetry for publication.

We are currently seeking submissions for the 2026 edition (Volume 29). Submit your work today!

Submission Guidelines

ART

You may submit up to 5 pieces of visual art or photography. Comics or graphic novels are limited to 10 pages.

If you are submitting 3D work, please make sure you take a photo of it in front of a white background and that the photo is level.

POETRY

Up to 5 poems

We consider all styles and forms, experimentations, and imitations (please include the imitated author’s name).

Poetry should be left-justified and single-spaced, unless the poem requires specific visual or shaped formatting.

PROSE

Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, Drama, or Essay — Please feel free to submit nonfiction of all kinds, as long as it fulfills our other requirements, with the caveat that we are not a research journal, so this isn’t an appropriate venue for an academic paper.

No more than 2 submissions, up to 3,000 words per piece. Please upload your work double-spaced, Times New Roman 12-pt. font in a Word/.docx file.

Submit your work
